MD, FACOG

Dr. Dexter M. Page is a board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Founder of IMU (Institute of Medical Ultrasound). He earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in 1989, completed his OB/GYN residency at Harlem Hospital Center in 1993, and finished his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 1995, specializing in obstetric sonography and fetal behavioral states.

A respected physician and educator, Dr. Page has trained residents throughout the Atlanta area and provides expert consultation for high-risk pregnancies at Atlanta Perinatal Associates. He has participated in numerous clinical studies, implemented advanced technologies in fetal assessment, and collaborates with healthcare leaders to improve perinatal outcomes.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Page has dedicated more than 20 years to advancing maternal-fetal care and ultrasound education.

With deep clinical experience and a strong foundation in maternal fetal medicine, the leadership brings real world expertise into the classroom, integrating advanced technology, hands on training, and evidence based instruction to prepare students for successful careers in diagnostic medical sonography. Their approach focuses not only on academic achievement but also on developing the professionalism, communication skills, and clinical confidence required in today’s healthcare environment.

Under the vision of Founder Dr. Dexter M. Page and supported by Vice President of Operations DeShannon Dixon, IMU emphasizes both academic excellence and operational efficiency to create a seamless student experience from enrollment to graduation. The team fosters collaboration, professionalism, and mentorship, ensuring each student receives personalized guidance, practical skills training, and the confidence to thrive in the healthcare field. Through strong leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement, IMU strives to equip graduates with the knowledge, integrity, and practical experience needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of diagnostic medical sonography.
